The passing of the 6th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on our country, and my mom's birthday. May the good Lord help my dad if he ever forgets her birthday after 9-11-01! Happy belated mom.
The passing of 9-11 has brought the familiar feeling of wonderment. Wonderment in where and how we will proceed from where we stand today. I felt the same wonderment on that very day as I do today. Now, our generals in the field tell us the strategy is working, although slowly while politicians tell us otherwise. How can we fight ourselves and also win a war against a world-wide terrorist organization? I have wondered this since 2 weeks after 9-11 when the first politicians in Washington broke rank with a unified America to question whether or not we "should be on the offensive against Islamic terrorism". Look up the records of that fateful day. Look up the pictures, the video, the news headlines & clips from that fateful day. WAR WAS DECLARED ON US BY RADICAL ISLAMISTS, or as I like to put it, A RETARDATION OF THE ISLAMIC RELIGION. What worries me is the battle we fight amongst oursevles might cause us to lose the war that matters. God bless America.
