K-MAC Sports to launch ‘DTI’ – a weekly dirt track racing show – in 2007
K-MAC Sports Productions of Austin, which finished 2006 with record numbers for its web site (kmacsports.com), announced today it will host Dirt Track Insider (DTI), a weekly dirt track racing show, for the upcoming 2007 season.
“There’s no doubt the dirt track racing community has a great fan following both in Texas and across the country,” said K-MAC Sports co-owner/business manager Chuck Licata. “We’ve consulted some of the big names in dirt track racing in Texas and they agree a weekly show on K-MAC Sports would help give the dirt track racing community the exposure it needs and deserves.”
Licata added, “We hope tracks officials, drivers, fans, families and everyone else involved will look at this show as their chance to get some well-deserved and overdue publicity.”
Bill “Sarge” Masom, co-announcer at Texas Thunder Speedway (Killeen) and one of the biggest names in Texas dirt track racing, will host the show. Masom resides in Kerrville; he’s been an announcer since 1994. Masom has had announcing gigs at Texas Dirt Speedway, South Texas Speedway and Thunder Hill Raceway, among others. He also recently became the PR director at Texas Thunder Speedway.
A search is underway for a co-host for the show and more specific details about the show will be released at a later date.
Information about the show can be obtained by calling Licata at 512.417.9414
