I however, am done after this season. I will have the #29 crushed. I love my car, I have chosen to go this route because seeing the car, or knowing that parts of my car being used on another would break my heart. You see I have the love/hate relationship with that stupid car. umm don't you know that is a sin in the racing community? Someone else racing the car is better than scraping it. I understand the love/hate relationship but if you had to get rid of your favorite animal because it wasn't good with kids, would you just shoot it? No, you find it a home where it will be taken care of and enjoyed. No, I am not trying to buy another racecar

John, If my prized pitt bull (who recently got hit by a car, and I sat for hours with and spent tons of $$ on getting him healthy again) ever got to a point where he wasnt good with my kids, he is as good as shot. As far as a sin, its not the first I've committed nor will it be the last. Mindy

Ok, I see your point on the dog analogy I'd probably do the same thing except not spend the $ before hand so it would only be the cost of the bullet. Crushing a perfectly good racecar just because it won't be used by your team anymore is (taking the chance of sounding like Spock) illogical. I don't see how that is going to help anybody, you, your kids, Harley. Why not just try to sell it and take a vacation with the family or something. Or invest what you get for it in a new hobby or other fun stuff. I'm not knocking you for what you plan to do , this is a free country but there would be more worthwhile alternatives than just sending it to the scrap heap. JMO, don't be mad at me, I'm not trying to start a fight here.

Real quick, I was thinking. If you don't want to sell it to some joe-blow racer, why not announce on CTC & txsz that you are selling the car & will and donate the $ to a charity. <shrug> That way it went for a good cause.

John, I had the car built to race, for fun, none of it was about money, didn't take money away from Harley, it was my money, and my kids, they have all they need and most of what they want. My crew chief Danny, has an idea he wants to run past me, and my brother wants to build a mud drag car with it..... lol.... time will tell. No argument, or fight, and am not mad at anyone. Don't understand how a purestock class became what it is today. Not my track, but I thought pure stock ment pure. That's my only gripe. Melinda
