Randy, Yes, I did write that about Jason... serveral years ago. If you remember though, Jason lost his focus, his dedication, and his drive to race. He became distracted and interested in something else. Doesnt make him a bad driver, it takes aways from his overall standing. I know that he has the potential to be a force to be dealt with, IF IF IF he regains the dedication to racing. I went to Tri-City the other night and I saw that his ability to drive is still there. Its strange NOT to see him in the NOVA. It was unfortunate that he was DQ'ed, but he had to see it coming. I SAW IT COMING. AS that car sat the other night, IT WAS NOT in any way, shape, or form a PURESTOCK. I know you will disagree with me on that, because you and I have never seen eye to eye on what a purestock is. I go by what the rule says, and the rules said "15 vacuum @ 1000 RPM, NO EXCEPTIONS" I AM NOT DOGGIN JASON, but something tells me he knew that his car could not pull that off. Never did I say (look at an above post) that Jason was a bad driver, or that he didnt have the ability to become what he once was. That is something only he can control (if he wants it bad enough). John, As for Jodys plans I have no idea. As I have stated, I dont know him on a personal level, only that he said that he would contact me when he was racing again and let me know when and where. I enjoy watching him race.

I know what a pure stock is... and I know what a successful pure stock is, bending the rules is in no way cheating, it's simply something you have to do to own a competitive racecar. See it's one thing to read the rules, but I have learned through the years that there is gray areas people don't see. as a (former, maybe current in a few weeks) racer, it is my job to make the tech man do his. Jason's car is a true pure stock with the exception of the cam (hence why he didnt pull vacuum) , he is nowhere near as radical as he could have went with it. hell, he has pig tail springs in the back, and the car is pretty darn heavy for a metric. There is cars out there more radical then his that he outruns, it doesn't mean he is cheating, it shows he is better prepared. I'm working on getting a pure stock as the street stock has put a pretty hefty dent in my pocket book, then we will see some stuff that will be really questionable. It's not about what you do, but how you do it. -- RB

The cam was the only thing not meeting the rules for purestock. That change should be done soon & Jason is going to be faster due to a few other things we found which were waaaay UNDER specs for a purestock. People are going to be really mad when he's faster the next 'go 'round.

John, Its a shame that he knew that the car couldnt pull the vacuum, and ran the car, spent money to go out race, (pit fees and whatnot), and lose all points and went home empty handed. Hopefully he can be faster, and yes there will be a few pretty sore people that his car is fast. Just remeind him that *if* he needs to add weight, or has any added weight, to paint it white and put his car # on it. Good luck to him. MY VOTE IS STILL FOR JODY STUART. Mindy

Mr. Moose, Glad to hear that you got your car is shape.... LOL You might want to check TXSZ page, for an update on rules. It was posted last night about 10'oclock. I think you have it covered but to be on the safe side.... You might want to read it. Good luck to you. REMEMBER the #29 has a BRAND new paint job.... please dont scratch it. AND that #12 sticker, I put it where you CANT rub it off without driving UP the side of the car. Mindy

If I had known before yesterday he was even thinking about that. There is a serious lack of communication between drivers now there is no series for the trucks.

Randy Are you saying a Questionable purestock as in the CAR? Or as in the DRIVER? LOL.... If you are talking about the car.... Well, yours is not the only one that is questionable. If you call checking brakes and vacuum a TECH.... thats a joke. Yeah I know, those GRAY RULE areas. Congrats to them for getting away with it, but they are only cheating themselves. IF all cars were to adhere to the rules ( and I dont mean the GRAY area rule) then it would be a true race. Yeah, yeah, I know we dont see eye to eye on that. I however, am done after this season. I will have the #29 crushed. I love my car, I have chosen to go this route because seeing the car, or knowing that parts of my car being used on another would break my heart. You see I have the love/hate relationship with that stupid car. I do wish you the best of luck, and hope that you win a few races. Melinda missmindy
