Lonnie Wheatley, TULSA, Okla. (November 19, 2007) – Kansas racer C.J. Johnson came away with the lion's share as the American Sprint Car Series Rocky Mountain Region held its annual season-ending Awards Banquet at Fat Fenders Grill in Englewood, CO, on Saturday night, November 17. Hailing from Quinter, KS, the 27-year-old picked off three feature wins en route to becoming the seventh different ASCS Rocky Mountain Region champion in as many years. Johnson took the title by 50 markers over Keith Rauch, with Chad Corken, Bob Schaeffer and Ricky Montgomery rounding out the top five. Others on hand to receive honors over the course of the evening included Mark Sweet and Josh Flood. The 2007 season for the ASCS Rocky Mountain Region consisted of 17 events at eleven different tracks throughout Colorado, western Kansas, Wyoming, New Mexico, Nebraska and South Dakota.
