Mike Emhof Motorsports Makes All A-Verdi King of CNY Races $1,500-to-win
Rich Vleck, TULSA, Okla. (April 27, 2007) - Less than two weeks away from the opening weekend of the 2007 season, even more money is being added to the King’s Ransom. (King of Central New York) that is.
The wildly popular A-Verdi Storage Containers King of Central New York “Series Within A Seriesâ€, now has one more reason for drivers and fans alike to get excited for seven particular events.
Mike Emhof Motorsports, a parts supplier for all things with wings, has stepped up to join in on the fun that is surrounding the series. The extra $100 at each race will likely increase the car count, only adding to the excitement.
With these seven events now $1,500, coupled with the three ASCS North/South Shootouts being $1,500-to-win for the August events and $2,000-to-win in June, 10 out of the 20 ASCS Patriot Full Point races are now at least $1,500-to-win. As announced previously, the other 10 events will be $1,400-to-win, thanks to Red Bear Hand Cleaner and Shuttleworth Asphatl Sealing, along with six 64 oz. Containers of Red Bear Hand Cleaner to the highest finisher not yet to receive the award.

While Mike Emhof Motorsports has increased the nightly total for the winner, the announcements on increases to this series do not quit there.
A-Verdi Storage Containers / King of CNY Series Point Fund to Be At Least $2,000.
The solid nightly purses are great, but point funds are what keep touring races going. In addition to the guaranteed $10,000 cash point fund for the 2007 season, an additional $2,000 has been reserved for the top-10 drivers in the final King of CNY Points.
The King of CNY Series will feature the best of the ASCS Patriots, like champions Chuck Hebing and Bryan Howland, who call the racetracks of Canandaigua, Cayuga County, Fulton and Rolling Wheels home, along with the rest of the competitors running after the 2007 overall championship like Don Adamczyk, Geoff Quackenbush and Jared Zimbardi.
Easily the biggest feature of these races will be those drivers that may not be regulars with the ASCS Patriots but will still chase after the King of CNY title. These events will feature the names of Matt and Doug Norrie, Jeff Cook, Jason Barney, Jessica Zemken, Rick Wilson, George Suprick and Russ Bennett.
“The car counts are going to be fantastic, which in turn should provide for great racing,†mentioned Mike Emhof. “Along with A-Verdi Storage Containers and our participating race tracks, we have established something that is a great bonus for some and a nice option for others.â€
The first two races of the 2007 ASCS Patriot Season will also be King of CNY events, taking place at Fulton Speedway and Rolling Wheels Raceway. It will then be two months before the series runs again with back-to-back shows at Canandaigua Speedway and a return to Rolling Wheels near the Fourth of July. The final three races of the year will be at Cayuga County Fair Speedway, Canandaigua and conclude at Fulton, right where it started four months earlier.
Look for more top names to be among the high car counts on opening weekend like Blake and Bobby Breen, Mike VanDeusen, Ray Preston, Chris Muhleisen, Scott Kruetter, Dave Wickham, Justin Barger and Daniel Lampron to take the earlier points lead in both the King of CNY and overall standings.
