Mindy..... if it aint dirt, it aint right. Asphalt folks have too big of ego's for their own good. I have less in my car then anyone else at I-37 and I still don't want to tear it up... But atleast my chit's fast lol

Randy, Well..... I have to say although I do enjoy WATCHING dirt, I have to say ASPHALT is FAST becoming my favorite. I like asphalt because there is a CONSISTANT tech. The cars are inspected, (for safety) generally there is less confusion. This past year at the dirt track (I 37) there was a whole lot lacking. You never knew when the next race was going to be. No real schedule, no website, call so and so on thurs night and check to see if there is gonna be racing. One time the track is good, one time not so much......I like the fact that when you come home from asphalt, you dont bring a percentage of the track home with you, (mud/dirt). Most of the asphalt guys are pure gold, you have a FEW that just lack respect for their own car, much less other peeps cars. But that happens at both dirt and asphalt. I guess its all in how a persons individual feelings/opinions are. I just like things MORE organized, more controlled. I can honestly say I have spent EQUAL time at both dirt and asphalt, and I JUST like the asphalt better. I DONT hold a bad opinion of dirt racing. Perhaps things will get better at I 37, I hope so, there are so many good people there. In order to get GOOD sponsors, you have to have a track with some sort of organized program. Sponsors want to see a schedule, they want to be able to look at the website. Yes, Owens track in Corpus has that, but its a bit of a road trip. I cant comment on Edna, cause I havent been.
