San Antonio Speedway, SA TX. 1977-2007 « Thread Started on May 28, 2007, 6:05am »
When I have the time, I'll post what pics, stories, etc I have dealing w/ this once great facility. I started racing there in '95 so I got a few good years in. My dad (John Kelly Sr) started racing there when it was 1st built back in '77 and went on to win the 85 & 86 LM titles as well as the 1988 TIDA championship which consisted of a lot of races @ SAS.
It was a great place that is missed by A LOT of drivers, teams & fans. It was fun while it lasted and I'm proud to have won there.
If anyone has pics, stories, etc about SAS, please feel free to post them here in the SAS or USRA boards above, I have moved BOTH of the boards here to the history area. :*( Thanks!
